Overview
The negative pressure soil solution sampler is used for in-situ extraction of soil solutions from different soil layers in the field. It is widely used in agricultural production and scientific research. It is also of great significance for monitoring environmental pollution and the rational use of groundwater.
Features
The sampler uses a pre-vacuum extraction method, which allows for quick sampling. It can extract the solution inside the tube using both positive and negative pressure methods. It can be used continuously without the need for soil dissection, and it does not damage the on-site structure.
Usage Method
The negative pressure soil solution sampler can be buried at any location, with a maximum depth of up to 15 meters. Depending on the requirements and feasibility, select an appropriate length, which is generally available in 15 cm, 30 cm, 45 cm, 60 cm, 90 cm, and 120 cm. Drill a hole with a suitable diameter and depth at the location where soil solution extraction is needed, and insert the sampler vertically into the hole, making sure to leave a height above the ground. If the soil drill diameter is too large, fill the surface soil back into the hole until the tube wall is in good contact with the soil. If the soil is very dry, moisten the soil with water, place it at the bottom of the drill hole, and tightly wrap the ceramic head.
Insert the manual air pump connector into the air pressure tube end and extract the gas inside the sampler tube to 80–100 kPa. Remove the air pump connector and seal the rubber air port, maintaining a negative pressure state inside the sampler. For most soils, soil solution can be obtained within a few hours. For very dry soils, it may be necessary to repeat the process or wait for a longer period.
When extracting the solution, insert the manual pump connector into the air pressure tube end and release the outlet pipe plug. Apply positive pressure. Place a prepared container below the outlet pipe. When the pressure reaches a certain level, the solution will flow out automatically.
Extraction solution, it will insert the air pressure hand pump interface to control the port and an open outlet pipe plug, into the positive air pressure below the outlet pipe, and then place the prepared container under it . When the pressure reaches a certain degree, the solution flowed out.
