    Application:
    1500F2 Soil Moisture Retention Curve Systems is primarily used for laboratory determination of soil water characteristic curves and the study of hysteresis phenomena. It is a fundamental tool for investigating the physical relationship between soil and water, and is suitable for in-depth research on water-saving irrigation and efficient fertilization technologies.

    Principle:

    The pressure membrane apparatus is used to determine soil water retention characteristics. Soil samples are placed in the pressure membrane apparatus, and a known pressure is applied. This pressure forces any water held in the soil at lower pressures to be expelled. By analyzing several sets of soil samples under different pressures, the relationship between soil water content and pressure can be determined. Simultaneously, by applying a certain pressure to the soil sample to force water out, when equilibrium is reached, the soil matric potential equals the applied pressure value. The soil water content at this point can then be measured using other methods to calibrate the soil water characteristic curve.
