Product Type Description:
Non-inactivated Type: a viral transport medium (VTM) based on Hanks's buffer, components like BSA, epidermal growth factor derivatives, glycerol, preservative, reducing agents are added to stabilize virus particles. It is a universal non-inactivated virus preservation solution, with the function of maintaining the integrity of the virus, is suitable for the preservation of nucleic acids, antigens, antibodies or functional enzymes. It can be used directly for the detection of virus using PCR, ELISA, colloidal gold, immunofluorescence and other methods.
Inactivated Type: Guanidine hydrochloride is a strong denaturant, and guanidine hydrochloride is often used for isolation of DNA or RNA from cells in biological experiments. Guanidine hydrochloride solution can dissolve proteins, causing cell structure damage, nucleoprotein secondary structure damage, and dissociation of the protein and nucleic acid. Guanidine hydrochloride can also inactivate RNase to ensure the integrity of RNA. This preservation solution is only suitable for nucleic acid-based virus detection.
S/D Inactivated Type: Use fat-soluble detergent to effectively inactivate enveloped viruses to ensure the biological safety of sample transportation. The solution contains RNase inhibitor and DNase inhibitor to effectively inhibit nuclease-mediated viral nucleic acid degradation and reduce false negatives in viral nucleic acid test. It can be directly used for the detection of virus using PCR, ELISA, colloidal gold, immunofluorescence and other methods. S/D inactivation method is often used to inactivate HCV and HIV in blood products.
HT Non-inactivated Type: a new transport and storage medium for biological sample, which can maintain cell morphology and sample biological activity for a long time. It is suitable for long-term, transportation of various biologically active samples in a complex and uncertain environment.
HT Inactivated Type: a new transport and storage medium for biological sample, which can effectively inactivate various pathogens and strongly protect their nucleic acids. It is suitable for long-term, transportation of various biologically active samples in a complex and uncertain environment.
Procedures for Collecting Samples:
When collecting samples, it is recommended to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gown, respirator (or facemask), face shield (or goggles), and gloves.
1. Remove swab from packing.
2. Collect sample material from the target site according to different sampling requirements and sampling protocols.
3. Quickly dip the swab head into the preservation solution in the sampling tube. Break the swab handle at scored breakpoint line, discard the remaining piece.
4. Tighten/screw the tube cap, and shake the tube several times.
5. Mark the relevant sample information on the label of the sampling tube, place the sealed tube in a biosafety bag, seal the bag, drop the sealed biosafety bag in a secured drop box and transfer it according to transportation requirements.
Precautions:
Please use this product strictly according to the instructions.
Before use, observe whether sampling tube has any liquid leakage. If so, do not use and discard the tube.
When samples are transported using Non-inactivated, Inactivated or S/D Inactivated preservation solutions, the test should be completed within 24 hours at room temperature, or within 72 hours at 2~8℃. Please note that the above preservation solutions are not suitable for sample collection and transportation at high temperature (30~45℃).
HT Non-inactivated type/ HT Inactivated type, suitable for collecting and transporting samples at high temperature (30~45℃), and the test should be completed within 24 hours after sample collection; samples should be stored at room temperature for no longer than 72 hours or for no longer than 7 days at 2~8℃.
Storage Conditions and Validity Period:
The product can be store at 2~30℃, valid for 24 months.
