The protein encoded by KCNK17（potassium two pore domain channel subfamily K member 17) belongs to the family of potassium channel proteins containing two pore-forming P domains. This channel is an open rectifier which primarily passes outward current under physiological K+ concentrations. KCNK17 is activated at alkaline pH. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for KCNK17.

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, ELISA: 1:20000. Not yet tested in other applications.
