Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member B1 belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenases family of proteins. Aldehyde dehydrogenase is the second enzyme of the major oxidative pathway of alcohol metabolism. ALDH1B1 does not contain introns in the coding sequence. The variation of this locus may affect the development of alcohol-related problems.
ALDH1B1 Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of ALDH1B1 protein.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, ELISA: 1:20000. Not yet tested in other applications.
