CryzoTraq™ 2D Barcoded Sample Storage Tubes
Ziath’s range of CryzoTraq™ cryogenic vials are designed for cryogenic storage of biological specimens at temperatures as low as -196°C. The range features outstanding leak resistance with a LDPE compression ring moulded into the screw cap. For information on the tests performed to ensure leak-free tubes, download our white paper. The tubes are available in 2ml or 5ml volumes with an internally or externally threaded cap.
All CryzoTraq™ tubes have a 2D datamatrix barcode inserted in the base of the tube. The insert is secured in place by the use of ultrasound to weld it into place. During the manufacturing process, the linear barcode is printed onto the side of the tube first, and the 2D code is automatically generated from the linear barcode therefore ensuring the two barcodes will always be the same with no errors.
ZIATH DATAPAQ™ 2D BARCODE SCANNERS
The 2D barcoded CryzoTraq™ cryogenic vials can be de-coded using Ziath’s DataPaq™ Multirack or Cube scanner.
QUALITY & CERTIFICATION
Our vials are manufactured in accordance with ISO 13485:2003, in compliance with ISO 14644 and 14698 (Federal Standard 209) and in a Class 7 cleanroom (Class 10,000). The vials are certified free from DNA, DNase, RNase, pyrogens and ATP. Each lot is sterilised with beta radiation. Our tubes are manufactured from medical grade polypropylene and the caps from medical grade polyethylene.
TRIPLE CODED
In addition to the Datamatrox code on the base the code is reproduced with a Code 128 linear barcode and human readable text on the side.
SEALING
Available with external and internal threaded caps; the caps seal with a substantial compression seal capable of storage all the way down to minus 196 degrees.
CRYZOTRAQ™ CRYOGENIC BOXES
The CryzoTraq™ range includes polycarbonate boxes for storage of the CryzoTraq™ tubes. They are available in 81 or 100 place boxes. These durable cryogenic storage boxes are designed to be used at temperatures between -196°C and +121°C (i.e. suitable for autoclaving). A transparent cover with numbering allows the user to see the contents of the box, and is keyed to the base to prevent misalignment. The 81 place has a coloured grid, whilst the 100 place box has a pegged base to maximise space. Four colours are available: blue, red, green and yellow.
CryzoTraq™ Cryogenic Box Labelling
The base of each cryogenic box has a 2D barcode laser etched on to the base. This is used when scanning the tubes, as the Ziath DataPaq™ 2D barcode scanning software uses this extra 2D barcode to determine the orientation of the rack on the scanner bed. In addition the side of the box is lasered with a code 128 barcods.
