It is a type II transmembrane protein that can be cleaved to release a soluble form. Tnfsf15 plays important roles in various physiological and pathological processes. It regulates cell survival, proliferation, and migration by binding to its receptor, Fn14. In the immune system, Tnfsf15 is involved in inflammation and immune cell activation. It also participates in tissue remodeling and angiogenesis. Dysregulation of Tnfsf15 has been associated with several diseases, including cancer, autoimmune diseases, and cardiovascular diseases.
