It is a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) III class and is widely expressed in cells of mesenchymal origin, including fibroblasts, endothelial cells, glial cells, and certain tumor cells. CD140a binds to various isoforms of platelet-derived growth factors (PDGFs) such as PDGF-AA, PDGF-AB, and PDGF-BB, forming homodimers or heterodimers with CD140b (PDGFR尾) to mediate cellular responses.
