BTLA encodes a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The encoded protein contains a single immunoglobulin (Ig) domain and is a receptor that relays inhibitory signals to suppress the immune response. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Polymorphisms in BTLA have been associated with an increased risk of rheumatoid arthritis. BTLA (B And T Lymphocyte Associated) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with BTLA include Xanthogranulomatous Cholecystitis. Among its related pathways are T Cell Co-Signaling Pathway: Ligand-Receptor Interactions and Class I MHC mediated antigen processing and presentation.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: IHC-p 1:50-200, ELISA 1:10000-20000.
