BINDER GmbH: Opening ceremony at the new Production and Technology Center in Tuttlingen – part of a double digit millions capital investment

BINDER GmbH has reached another milestone on the road to the future. The official opening of the new Production and Technology Center (PTC) in Tuttlingen was attended by important representatives from the business and political spheres.

BINDER's new Production and Technology Center was inaugurated with an official opening ceremony. The expanded production area, redesign of the factory layout, and the new modern Production and Technology Center are all part of the company's visionary "Project 2013." The official opening was attended by important representatives from the fields of business and politics, including Volker Kauder, Member of the Bundestag Federal Parliament, Michael Beck, Mayor of the City of Tuttlingen, Guido Wolf, Member of the Land of Baden-Württemberg Parliament, and Ulrich P. Hermani, Managing Director of the VDMA Baden-Württemberg.

The new PTC will give BINDER the ability to respond quickly to changing market conditions, and to keep ahead in the intensified pricing competition. As part of this expansion, all of the production structures and processes were integrated into a single unified production system. This realignment of manufacturing and assembly processes as well as in-house logistics is BINDER's response to changing market requirements.

"We operate in an environment of international competition, serving customers who expect high quality, customized solutions, and quick delivery. Optimizing our production processes will allow us to significantly increase our production while maintaining strict quality standards, greatly reduce our processing times, and provide a faster and more flexible response to our customers' needs.

This will also motivate our employees to become even more actively involved in the production process. In this respect, the Toyota Production System principle has served as a useful model for us, and we are aiming to increase productivity by at least 20%," says Peter M. Binder, the owner of Binder GmbH.
