BINDER GmbH continues its growth in 2007 while expanding its international network bases. The BINDER Asia Representative Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which looks after business activities in Southern Asia, Southeast Asia, the Far East, China and Australia was established in 1999, has now been established as an independent subsidiary. BINDER SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur, which was established on December 14, 2006, has OHQ (Operational Head Quarter) status since June 12, 2007.
The members of the board of directors of the newly founded BINDER SDN BHD are Peter M. Binder, Dr. Khoon Huat Law and Roland Krebs. BINDER exports its simulation chambers for applications in scientific and industrial laboratories to more than 120 countries worldwide. In addition to its headquarters in Tuttlingen, Germany, BINDER also has a subsidiary in New York. The new business unit in Kuala Lumpur is focusing on the development of a market presence in Asia and exploring new raw material sources for production in Germany. "Kuala Lumpur is an expanding industrial center in Asia, and this town is one of the prime addresses for companies which are active on the international platform. We are confident that the business activities of German companies in Asia as well as those of Asian companies in Germany will increase significantly in the coming years. We would like to see our customers succeed in this highly competitive market, and in order to provide maximum support, the new BINDER SDN BHD will be a local center with the necessary experience of the regional markets in that area. We are looking forward to this new mission and a successful collaboration, "said Peter M. Binder, CEO and President of BINDER GmbH
Increasing demand requires expansion
Roland Krebs is the Regional Manager, directing the BINDER Office in Asia since May 2002. Krebs, a native of Switzerland, previously worked in Research and Development, and was also involved with international marketing and sales for the pharmaceutical industry. Under his guidance, the present eight-member team steadily advances the company's expansion in the Asian market. BINDER GmbH presently produces 80% of its sales through international business. Central and Southern Europe are supported from Tuttlingen, North and South America from the New York office, Eastern Europe from Moscow, and Northern Europe from Wolverhampton (UK). Future growth will also be achieved by deploying internal resources and using BINDER's technological advantage to create superior new products.
One of BINDER's benchmarks for future business is expanding its product portfolio. "At this time, India represents the greatest growth potential to us for business in Asia. India is already in second place after China in terms of market size. However, Pakistan, Thailand and Malaysia are also attractive markets with substantial demand," says Krebs.
