BioTek Welcomes Congressman Welch

On July 8, 2010, Vermont Congressman Peter Welch visited BioTek Instruments to learn how the company is growing and flourishing in a highly competitive global market and a tough economic climate. BioTek is headquartered in Vermont; conducting all engineering and manufacturing in the state and competing with large, global publicly held companies. BioTek was recently named 2009 Deane C. Davis Outstanding Business of the Year by Vermont Business Magazine and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.

Congressman Welch met with Briar Alpert and Adam Alpert, BioTek's President & CEO and Vice President, respectively, and also toured the facilities to better understand how the company operates and what he could do to help BioTek continue to be successful in the future.
