Opening ceremony of Chinese Marrow Donor Tissue Library in CapitalBio

On May 11th 2009, the opening ceremony of Chinese Bone Marrow Donor Tissue Library was held by the Data Bank of Chinese Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donors also known as Chinese Marrow Donor Program （CMDP）in the National Engineering Research Centre for Beijing Biochip Technology (CapitalBio). Chinese Marrow Donor Program is a public welfare organization under the leadership of Red Cross Society of China. Peiyun Peng, the Chairman of Red Cross Society of China and Jing Cheng, the Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Beijing Biochip Technology both participated in the ceremony.

As Chine Bone Marrow Donor Tissue Library appointed by Chinese Bone Marrow Program, CapitalBio has over 700,000  tissues centrally stored that are transferred from 31 branch registries across China and also plans to have total storage up to 1000,000 tissue samples by the end of 2009.
