GE Healthcare Expands Life Sciences Research Distribution Channel

GE Healthcare a unit of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), a leading global supplier of industry leading life science research products, today announced that it has entered into a definitive, non-exclusive distribution agreement with Fisher Scientific, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.

Under the terms of the agreement, Fisher Scientific will have access to a range of GE products for its customers in North America, including film, electrophoresis, chromatography and nucleic acid purification products.

Eric Roman, General Manager of GE Healthcare Life Sciences Americas, stated, "Fisher Scientific adds a very important and complementary channel to our existing sales coverage in North America. The presence Fisher Scientific has in the academic, pharmaceutical and biotech industries will enable customers to have increased access to our products through the purchasing channel of their choice. In many cases, the convenience Fisher Scientific adds through logistics and access to products via their storeroom programs will make the procurement process more efficient for many customers."
