Telstar, an international leader in the development of integrated high-technology solutions in the process field for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, has announced its collaboration with Pharmadule OÜ by means of a substantial investment in the Estonian company. Through its shareholding in Pharmadule OÜ, Telstar has reinforced and strengthened its international modular construction capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical industries, which began through its alliance with Key Plants in March 2011.

 

Pharmadule OÜ was the modular manufacturing facility of the Pharmadule Group before the bankruptcy of Pharmadule AB. Located in Tallinn, Estonia Pharmadule Oü is the manufacturer where the most knowledge and experience of modular construction techniques is concentrated. Pharmadule OÜ was founded in 2005 and today the company employs persons with significant project experience from 6 years of company history performing modular manufacturing for Teva Sicor, Eli Lilly, Merck and others.

 

The integration of Pharmadule OÜ into Telstar’s international initiatives reinforces its ability to offer complete solutions in modular construction technology for the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical industries by combining KeyPlants’ design and engineering know-how and Pharmadule OÜ’s manufacturing expertise. This strategy consolidates Telstar’s design and engineering strength, process knowledge, manufacturing and implementation capabilities for construction of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical facilities using modular technology.

 

In May 2011 KeyPlants, ModWave and Yonkers Industries established ModularPartners. Telstar, as a KeyPlants’s partner, takes an active part in this project. ModularPartners was formed to be the leading supplier of modular and hybrid solutions to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries in North America and beyond. During the recent bankruptcy of the Swedish company Pharmadule AB and the subcequent liquidation of Pharmadule, Inc's in the USA, the Estonian company Pharmadule OÜ was acquired by its management team. Telstar has now become a substantial shareholder of Pharmadule OÜ.

 

Pharmadule OÜ is today the only legal entity that remains active from the former Pharmadule Group. The company offers manufacturing and assembly of modular solutions for the Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, Chemical and Food industries together with certified welding of process piping in respective areas.
