Homeobox protein TGIF2LX (TGIF2LX) is a member of the TALE/TGIF homeobox family of transcription factors. Testis-specific expression suggests that TGIF2LX may play a role in spermatogenesis. A homolog of this gene lies within the male specific region of chromosome Y, in a block of sequence that is thought to be the result of a large X-to-Y transposition.
Human Homeobox protein TGIF2LX (TGIF2LX) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TGIF2LX in samples. An antibody specific for TGIF2LX has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyTGIF2LX present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TGIF2LX is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TGIF2LX bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
