    DESCRIPTION
Change is in the air - the Agilent 4200 MP-AES is the next generation of proven microwave plasma - atomic emission spectrometry. The safer, cost efficient Agilent 4200 MP-AES has higher sensitivity, detection limits down to sub ppb levels, speed that goes beyond flame Atomic Absorption, and no combustible gases. Perform unattended analysis on a broader range of a samples while benefitting from the lowest cost of ownership with the revolutionary technology that runs on air.

What users are saying about Agilent's MP-AES technology

"Two important advantages of this instrument are its low running costs and laboratory safety, as no expensive or flammable gases are required. Considering cost, performance, and multi-element capabilities, the Agilent MP-AES is a suitable and efficient alternative to flame AA for this application (determination of silicon in diesel and biodiesel) and presents better performance for critical elements such as the one investigated here."

    Features
Lowest cost of ownership - the Agilent 4200 MP-AES runs unattended without flammable or expensive gas supply, dramatically reducing your operating cost. Use the MP-AES Cost Savings Estimator to see how quickly you can start saving.

Improved laboratory safety - in addition to eliminating flammable and oxidizing gases, the 4200 MP-AES eliminated the need to plumb multiple gases into the laboratory, or manually transport and handle gas cylinders.

High performance - magnetically excited microwave plasma source provides superior detection limits to flame AA.

Ease of  use - application-specific software applets plus plug-and-play hardware ensure any user can set up quickly without method development or alignment, and with minimal training

Robustness and reliability - ideal for industries such as mining, food and agriculture, chemicals, petrochemicals, and manufacturing, and for remote locations.

MP Expert Software - automated method development and software applets that include pre-set method templates dramatically simplifies your workflow

    4200 MP-AES Accessories

The Agilent 4200 MP-AES is built to handle challenging applications and tough, remote environments. It comes with a variety of accessories to adapt it for a wide range of applications.

    Multi-mode Sample Introduction System (MSIS)

For sub ppb detection of As, Se, and Hg

The Multi-mode Sample Introduction System provides simultaneous vapor generation of environmentally sensitive elements including As, Se, and Hg with low ppb detection limits. It delivers significantly better performance through the thin film hydride technology. Plus, it offers a choice of three modes that eliminates changeover and allows routine and hydride elements to be determined using the same set-up.

    External Gas Control Module (EGCM)

For analysis of organic solvents and sulfur determination

Plug in the External Gas Control Module for easy set-up with no special torch or plasma settings required. The EGCM injects air into the plasma, minimizing carbon build up and reducing background. The air injection rate is software controlled, and method development is quick and simple. The EGCM also enables you to perform sulfur determinations using a nitrogen purge of the optics.

    SPS-3 Autosampler

    For unattended multi-element analyses

Automate and simplify analysis with the Agilent SPS 3 sample preparation system. With the fastest operation, extended sample capacity via rack changes, and a flexible choice of racks, simply load, set, and go.

    OneNeb Inert Nebulizer

    For organics and strong acids

The Agilent OneNeb inert nebulizer is designed to handle challenging samples. The inert plastic construction is resistant to organic solvents and strong acids, while the virtually unblockable design makes it ideal for samples containing high dissolved solids.
