Test principle
The basis of the test is on the competitive enzyme immunoassay for the detection of Sulfonamides (SQX,SDZ,SM1, ....) in the chicken, pork, milk, honey, egg, etc. The microtiter wells are coated with anti-Sulfonamides antibody. Sulfonamides enzyme conjugate and the Sulfonamides standards or sample solution are added. Free Sulfonamides antibody and Sulfonamides enzyme conjugate compete for the Sulfonamides antibody binding sites (competitive enzyme immunoassay). Any unbound enzyme conjugate is then removed in a washing step. Chromogen/substrate is added to the wells, bound enzyme conjugate converts the colorless chromogen into a blue product. The addition of the stop reagent leads to a color change from blue to yellow. The depth of the color shows the magnitude of Sulfonamides in the sample.The measurement is made photometrically at 450nm. According to the absorbance, the concentration of Sulfonamides in the sample can be quantified.
