    Product Description
Foot and Mouth Disease Virus Antibody Rapid Test Kit

(Whole Blood / Serum / Plasma / Milk)

    PRINCIPLE
Quantitative or qualitative detection of titer levels of Foot and Mouth Disease Type A or Type O Antibody levels in the sera of pigs, cattle and sheep using a competitive method can be used to assess the effectiveness of vaccine immunization or as an aid in determining wild virus infection.

During detection, the FMD Type A or Type O Antibody in the sample binds to the colloidal gold-coated specific antigen fragment to form an antigen-antibody complex, which flows along the test paper to the other end of the NC membrane. When the complex flows to the T zone on the membrane, the antigen fixed on the membrane captures the complex and gradually agglutinates into a red visible T line, while the unbound colloidal gold antibody flows through the T zone and is captured by the secondary antibody in the C zone and forms a visible red C line.

    QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS

    1. Sample dilution to be tested: Pipette 35ml (or 1 drop) of serum sample, add to the sample dilution tube, gently invert up and down 10 times and mix thoroughly.
    2. Test card reaction: Aspirate 70 ml of the serum sample to be tested, drop it into the sample adding hole, and leave it to stand horizontally for 20 min.
    3. Result: If C-line appears, the experiment is valid; otherwise, the test should be repeated. (Colorimetric cards should be obtained free of charge from the supplier).

1). Pigs: The color of T-line is compared with the color of 64 points on the colorimetric card. If the color of T-line is dark, it is judged as positive. Otherwise, it is negative.
2). Cattle and sheep: The color of T-line is compared with the color of 128 points on the colorimetric card. If the color of T-line is dark, it is judged as positive. Otherwise, it is negative.

    VACCINE ANTIBODY LEVEL ANALYSIS
Immunized animals were grouped according to breed (e.g. sows, boars, reserve pigs, piglets, nursery pigs, fattening pigs), litter size and age to count the antibody positivity rate, neatness and average antibody titer separately.

    1. Antibody positivity rate=positive quantity/total quantity*100%.

1). For farms with ideal immunization results,
         Antibody uniformity(CV%)≤20%;Antibody positive rate≥70%.

2). Sometimes, improper immunization procedures, timing of immunization, or low number of samples can also affect the uniformity of antibodies.
