Instruction Manual – CASEIN(Ver1.1)
(PRS-A60-10T)
Overview
PriboStripTM CASEIN Food Allergen Rapid Test is an immuno-chromatographic test for the qualitative detection of casein in food. The test should be used for the detection of small amounts of casein (contaminations). This test is suitable for the detection of unknown ingredient or ambiguous labeling in processed food. This is a suitable food allergen control tool for the detection of casein. This test is suitable for food quality control in food processing plants specifically with inbound goods, processing stages and final product. The results are interpreted visually.
Testing Principle
The reaction zone is coated with T, C lines, C lines is quality control lines, T lines is testing line and coated with bovine casein monoclonal antibody 1 (Ab-1), In the colloidal-gold tube is antibody 2 and colloidal-gold binding compounds (Ab-2-Gdd). When targets protein contained in sample, Ab-2-Gdd compounds will specifically bind with the target protein and when this compounds moving to the T line together, another site on the target protein will specifically bind with Ab-1, thus a red line is displayed.
Sensitivity
0.1 ppm (took casein, from bovine milk as the sample standard.)
For environment swab the sensitivity is 0.05 μg /100 cm2.
Note: LOD(limit of determination) = Sensitivity × Dilution Ratio
Specificity
No cross-reaction with shellfish, almond, buckwheat, egg, soy, gluten, lactose and peanut.
High cross-reaction with goat milk.
