Typhoid Ab lgM/lgG Rapid Test (Colloidal Gold Method)
- Specimen: Whole blood/Serum/Plasma
- Formet: Strip(dipstick), Cassette(device)
Typhoid Ab lgM/lgG Rapid Test is a rapid direct binding test for the visual detection of typhoid antibodies (lgM/lgG) in
serum/plasma/whole blood qualitatively, as an aid in the diagnosis of typhoid infection.
Typhoid is a infectious disease caused by a bacterium called typhoid bacillus. It could cause fever, even enterorrhagia and enterobrosis. So early typhoid detection and treatment is critical.
For Typhoid Ab lgM/lgG Rapid Test: Allow the pouched strip/cassette to equilibrate to room temperature (2-30℃) prior to testing.before testing. Specimen Collection: Collect whole blood/serum/plasma into a collection tube (containing EDTA,citrate or heparin) by venipuncture. If specimens are not immediately tested, they should be refrigerated at 2~8℃.For storage periods greater than three days, freezing is recommended. They should be brought to room temperature prior to use. Using the specimen after long-term storage of more than three days can cause non-specific reaction. When stored at 2~8℃,the whole blood sample should be used within three days. Directions for Use: 1. Open a pouch containing a cassette, remove the test kit from the pouch and place it horizontally on the desk. 2. Pipette one drop(5µl) of specimen into the same well and then add one drop(50µl) of diluent into the same well. 3. Read results within 15 minutes. Do not read results after 20 minutes. Interpretation of Results: Negative: Only control pink band appears on test region of the cassette. This indicates that there is no determinand in the specimen. Positive: Two pink bands(C,T) appear on test region of the cassette. This indicates that the specimen contains detectable amount of determinand. Invalid: If without colored band appears at control region, this is an indication of a possible error in performing the test. The test should be repeated using a new one.
