The Flow-UV is an affordable and compact solid state spectrophotometer designed for both flow chemistry and batch applications.
Utilising a Xe strobe lamp source with a lifetime of up to 10 years in normal use, coupled with a CCD array, the spectrometer requires no routine maintenance or calibration and can record full spectra in the range 200-900nm (an optional IR source is available).
Typically used to monitor steady state conditions and control product collection in flow-through applications, the high pressure flow cell, which uses PFA or FEP tubing and connects to the source and detector module using fibre optic waveguides, may be inserted virtually anywhere in the flow path.
A wide range of batch cuvettes are also available.
Flow-UV is an ideal upgrade for Asynt and Uniqsis flow chemistry systems – see the “downloads” tab for examples of work carried out using this system.

Asynt Ltd offer a wide range in laboratory equipment from benchtop to pilot scale. Our versatile DrySyn heating blocks provide excellent thermal performance without the associated risks of using standard oil-based systems and, when teamed with the Asynt CondenSyn air-condenser, will not only help improve sustainability but will also save you money.
Other areas we cover include Electrochemistry, photochemistry, flow chemistry, parallel synthesis, pressure reactors, evaporation and more. We offer off-the-shelf solutions as well as fully customisable systems: such as our ReactoMate jacketed vessels which can scale up from 100 mL to 100 L.
Asynt are committed to investing in new technologies that respond to the real demands of industry and academia, improving efficiency, sustainability and safety.
Asynt acquired flow chemistry specialists, Uniqsis, in 2024 and have incorporated this highly-respected range of apparatus into the Asynt catalogue where it compliments the existing innovative flow and photochemistry solutions.
