Telstar Presents The Only Compact Laboratory Freeze Drier With Integrated Pre-Freezing, Primary Drying, And Secondary Drying Processes
With an 8-liter condensation capacity, LyoQuest represents the latest in freeze dryers for R&D labs
Terrassa ( Barcelona ), September 1, 2010. Telstar will be unveiling the latest in its line of laboratory freeze dryers which, with a condensation capacity of 8 liters, makes it possible to carry out pre-freezing, primary drying, and secondary drying processes. This new innovation is known as LyoQuest, the only freeze dryer on the market that combines all of these features into a single device so that users can work with different types of samples (vials, trays, ampoules, and flasks) using the same piece of equipment.
In addition to being versatile, LyoQuest also allows users to create formulas involving temperature and vacuum control thanks to its PLC. This, very easy-to-use, device includes a touch screen with a straightforward menu and functional diagram. The LyoLogger monitoring software makes it possible to connect the unit to a PC in order to transfer all of the data to Excel files. It also makes it possible to view graphs showing the pressure, condenser temperature, and, if working with a chamber, product and tray temperature as well. The innovative design of this freeze dryer results in an extremely small unit with large condensation capacities . The LyoQuest’s ice condenser is made from AISI 316L stainless steel and includes an automatic defrosting function for quick and easy deicing. Furthermore, its design makes it possible to pre-freeze products inside the device, often without the need for an additional freezer.
The LyoQuest freeze dryer is specially designed for R&D labs in research and development departments of universities, hospitals, scientific institutes, biotechnology centers, pharmaceutical companies, and food companies.
Telstar Hexascreen MiniBioreactor
Also at Analytica China(Sep。15-17 ,2010 ,Shanghai) , Telstar will be presenting the Telstar Hexascreen minibioreactor for animal cell culture screening studies on a scale which is suitable for R&D. This device makes it possible to carry out several simultaneous tests on cell culture.
This is the first minibioreactor on the market that makes it possible to carry out animal cell culture trials and experiments on a scale of 10 to 15 ml, with the ability to run up to six cultures simultaneously. It also includes a workstation that accommodates interchangeable, single-use plates that guarantee sterility and streamline the start of the bioprocess.
These units offer a beneficial change to the medium, monitoring and control features of those similar to laboratory reactors. These features allow information to be collected on all major culture variables, such as temperature, dissolved oxygen/oxygen consumption, pH, optical density and spectrometry in the visible range, whilst at the same time automatically monitoring growth (absorbance) and metabolism (indirectly from acidification/ oxygen consumption).
