Unlike many competitive products, FluidX External Thread Tri-Coded Tubes provide a lifelong and secure chain of custody for samples in biobanks, compound libraries, and a broad range of biological and chemical stores, including cryogenic storage. Developed to exceed the demands of sample security and management in modern high density storage applications, these tubes are compatible with low throughput manual, semi-automated or fully automated workflows on integrated platforms.

 
For sensitive biological samples where maintaining integrity is paramount, Azenta FluidX™ External Thread Tri-Coded Tubes provide one of the industry's most secure sealing solutions. By positioning the thread on the exterior of the tube, the design minimizes the risk of sample contamination associated with internal-thread configurations, while maximizing usable sample volume within the tube. The external thread format also delivers superior sealing performance and reliable sample protection during long-term storage and repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
 
Incorporating three independent identification methods, FluidX Tri-Coded Tubes offer unmatched levels of sample traceability and confidence. Each tube features a permanently laser-etched 2D code on the tube base, a human-readable numeric code, and a linear barcode, enabling rapid identification across manual, semi-automated, and fully automated workflows. This tri-code approach significantly reduces the risk of sample misidentification while supporting efficient inventory management and sample tracking.

 
Permanent laser-etched codes resist wear and damage, ensuring long-term traceability even in challenging storage environments. High-contrast code marking enables reliable scanning without removing tubes from racks, including under frost and condensation-prone conditions commonly encountered in cold storage operations.

Manufactured from high-grade virgin polypropylene, FluidX External Thread Tri-Coded Tubes are available in are available in 96-format, 48-format, and 24-format SBS racks plus the widest range of working volumes (0.2ml up to 7.6ml) to optimally suit almost any storage application.
