Overview

As precious resources for clinical research, clinical biological specimen serves as significant cornerstone for transnational medical research. While we witness the rapid development of biobanks in China, we should also aware of the arising ethical and information issues related to the development.

 

After the 1st International Conference for Biobank Management and QC & Shanghai Biobank Development Workshop 2011, Shanghai Clinical Research Center (SCRC) combines the needs of the participants, analyzes current situations of China’s biobank construction and prepares for the 2^nd Biobank China 2012. International experts and domestic biobank managers will be invited to introduce their practices and experience in biobank’s ethics and information management. We hope that the conference would enhance exchanges and cooperations among biobank practitioners and contribute to China’s biobank ethics and information management.
