The LDB100/101F brightfield LED directly fits to the lamphouse couplings of most major microscopes, maximising the amount of light transmitted, a modern alternative to halogen lamp based light sources. With a lifetime of 10,000 hours the LDB100/101F produces an intense, even light illumination with constant colour temperature and makes it the ideal light source for many life science applications, brightfield, phase contrast or DIC techniques. When used in conjunction with fluorescence applications the unique flip in 550 nm filter reduces background fluorescence attributed to stray light exciting the LED and producing minimal amounts of heat and vibration, the LDB100/101F minimises disruption to sensitive samples.

The intensity is manually regulated, If used with the ProScanIII controller the LED can switched on/off via software.  There is also a TTL connection for very fast switching.
