As a nonionic surfactant, it is readily soluble in water and possesses excellent foaming, foam stabilizing, penetrating, detergency-removing, and hard water resistance properties. It is compatible with various surfactants, and its thickening effect is particularly pronounced when combined with anionic surfactants in an acidic environment. It enhances cleaning performance and can be used as an additive, foam stabilizer, and foaming agent, primarily in the manufacture of shampoos and liquid detergents. It forms an opaque mist-like solution in water, which becomes completely transparent after stirring. It is completely soluble in various surfactants and in both low-carbon and high-carbon systems at different concentrations.
