Tariquidar, also known as XR9576, is a P-glycoprotein inhibitor undergoing research as an adjuvant against multidrug resistance in cancer. Tariquidar non-competitively binds to the p-glycoprotein transporter, thereby inhibiting transmembrane transport of anticancer drugs.
