WZB 117 is a GLUT inhibitor (Ki(app) = 0.2, 10 and 10 μM for GLUT4, GLUT1 and GLUT3, respectively) that inhibits passive glucose transport in human erythrocytes and cancer cell lines. It decreases extracellular lactate and intracellular ATP levels.
