Indications:
The sphincterotome knife is mainly intended for resection and coagulation to the duodenal papilla sphincter in the ERCP procedures. It is usually used in conjunction with the guide wire devices.
Product Description:
Sphincterotome knife is a medical device used in the EST procedures with the help of high frequency current. It can be employed when there seems to be various bile duct diseases such as stones, tumors, sclerosing cholangitis as well as a variety of pancreatic duct diseases, for instance, tumors, cysts, chronic inflammations and stones and so forth. The merits of using this product for diagnosis and therapy of stones in the bile duct are smaller trauma, less pain and complications.
After the doctors have ascertained the diseases and made a judgement, the sphincterotome knife is used as a therapeutic device to cut and enlarge the papilla for the entry of other devices or the extraction of stones.
The structure of sphincterotome knife includes the handle controller and sheath cutting part.
The sphincterotome knife is made of medical grade stainless steel and polymer PTFE.
The working principle of sphincterotome knife: It is connected to the high frequency generator, and the sheath is controlled by pushing and pulling the handle hence driving the movement of cutting wire, and finally, the cutting and coagulation of tissues is realized with the help of high frequency current.
