MarroFAXS Xtended scans bone marrow smear slides and saves the images to the harddisk. The whole of the scanned area or the whole smear can be visualized as a digital slide in
We propose a supplementary 40x to 63x oil objective (air objectives are an option) for the automated scanning of the detail images. If no supplementary objective is chosen, a scan with the HemoFAXS 100x oil objective is possible, although slower.
The supplementary objective has to be installed on the HemoFAXS and will be recognized by the TissueFAXS software and available for automated scans.
In a second step, the BMC software allows the user to load the single field of view images of the scanned bone marrow sample and to count the specific cells manually by clicking on them with the mouse.
Each click will increment the count of the selected class and mark it with a colored ring on the image, to avoid mistakes or double counts.
The count result can then be sent to the LIS.
