The Centre focus its resources on development, production and marketing of high-performance separation technologies and related products for research institutions, government laboratories and biotech/pharma industries.     The Centre has formed a close partnership with Professor Qian-Hong Wan’s group in Tianjin University School of Pharmacy. As an advisor in science and technology, Professor Wan has been actively involved in the research activities currently undergoing at the Centre. Professor Wan holds a PhD in Chemistry from Edinburgh University 1993 and since then has worked at various universities and companies both in Europe and North America. His current research interests include development of high-performance separation media, instrumentation and their applications in biotech/pharma industries. Since joining Tianjin University in April, 2002, Dr Wan has led a research group undertaking several research projects funded by the University’s 21st Century Action Program, Natural Science Foundation of China, and industrial collaborators.
