1) We call the total concentration of calcium ion (Ca2+) and magnesium ion (Mg2+) in water sample the hardness of water. It is an important index for water quality. This meter adopts the electrode method to test and it has the same accuracy with EDTA titration method
2) Adopts 601-S water hardness combination electrode which consists of measuring electrode, Ag/AgCl reference electrode and temperature sensor. The PVC sensitive membrane of measuring electrode made of active material comes from new neutral carrier. It has equal selectivity for Ca2+ and Mg2+ ion in water sample.
