The swing-type tubular centrifuge is a special tubular centrifuge, with convenient operation and ease of maintenance.It is primarily utilized in industrial settings to separate various difficult-to-process suspensions; it is particularly well-suited for solid-liquid separations involving dilute mixtures, fine particles, and minimal specific gravity differences between the solid and liquid phases. This equipment is widely applied in industries such as chemical engineering, food processing, traditional Chinese medicine, fermentation, fruit juice and pulp fiber separation, as well as the extraction of plant-based proteins (from sources such as soybeans, peanuts, and wheat) and animal proteins.
Working principle
The electric motor transmits power to the main spindle via a transmission system, thereby driving the rotating drum to spin at high velocity. The material to be processed is injected into the drum through a feed inlet located at the bottom; under the influence of powerful centrifugal forces, the liquid mixture undergoes stratification. The lighter liquid phase accumulates toward the center of the drum, flows upward to the outlet at the drum's upper rim, and is subsequently flung into a liquid collection tray before draining out. Conversely, the heavier solid phase is flung against the inner wall of the drum, where it accumulates; once the machine is shut down, the drum is removed—facilitated by the tilting mechanism of the centrifuge body—to allow for the manual cleaning and removal of the accumulated solids.
