The NucleoCounter® NC-200™ is a high precision automated cell counter utilizing state-of-the-art image cytometry. It counts suspension cells,aggregated cells, CAR-T cells, stem cells and cells on microcarriers.
With user-adaptable protocols and specialized assays, the NucleoCounter® NC-200™ provides an all-in-one solution for cell counting and cell viability determination.
The Via1-Cassette™ is used with this counter for automated staining and sample handling. The cassette is volume calibrated to ensure high precision and cell reproducibility.
Combining simplicity and innovation in automated cell counting
Eliminate human bias in cell counting – Via1-Cassette™
During manual cell count, the subjective evaluation of the definition of a cell introduces bias to the result. The automatic cell counter NC-200™ is designed to limit human interference in counting. With the Via1-Cassette™, all errors introduced during pipetting and staining are avoided. The Via1-Cassette™ includes an in-built pipette and the immobilized fluorescent dyes acridine orange and DAPI automatically stain the total and dead cell populations, respectively.
Cell count presentation and data management
The NucleoView™ software allows visual inspection of the fluorescence image and the opportunity to verify the cell count. Specific event populations can be selected in the scatter plots and examined visually to determine the validity of their inclusion or exclusion from the final cell counting results. The adapted protocol can be then saved for future measurements, increasing reproducibility.
GMP Ready Automated Cell Counter
The data produced with the NucleoCounter® NC-200™ are traceable and saved within our intuitive NucleoView software™. The optional 21 CFR Part 11 license includes GMP ready features such as logging in with user-group credentials which documents actions in a secured audit trail format. The NucleoCounter® NC-200™ is easy to clean.

Counting cells in clumps with NucleoCounter® NC-200™
With the Aggregated Cells Assay, the NucleoCounter® NC-200™ can count cells even from a sample of highly aggregated cells or cells in clumps.

The NucleoCounter® NC-200™ offers a unique protocol to determine the total cell count and viability of cell cultures grown on microcarriers.
Counting of mesenchymal stem cells in regenerative medicine
With the NucleoCounter® NC-200™, it is easy to precisely determine viability and cell count of MSC’s derived from different sources e.g. lipoaspirates and bone marrow aspirates.
Counting of peripheral blood mononucleated cells in whole blood samples
With the automatic cell counter NC-200™, the total viability and cell count of leukocytes can easily be determined in cell samples containing both platelets and red blood cells.
21 CFR Part 11 Ready
The NucleoCounter® NC-200™ is designed to be easily implemented in 21 CFR Part 11 compliant laboratories. Key features include control of user access and data export, and secure audit trail.
