Tentative Topics
1. Basic and applied bioluminescence: luciferase (firefly, bacteria, cypridina and renilla), aequorin, etc.
2. Basic and applied chemiluminescence: reaction mechanisms, biosensor, chemical assays, molecular labeling, and detection of reactive oxygen and nitric species.
3. Fluorescent proteins and their biomedical application.
4. Development and biomedical application of quantum dots and other inorganic fluorescent materials.
5. Bioluminescence, chemiluminescence and fluorescence imaging.
6. Environmental, evolutionary and ecological aspects of bioluminescence.
7. Bioluminescence-, chemiluminescence- and fluorescence-based instrumentation and high throughput screening.
8. Other related aspects of bioluminescence, chemiluminescence, fluorescence and phosphorescence.
