PerkinElmer, Corning to Develop Label-Free Screening Tech

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News)-PerkinElmer and Corning will collaborate to develop label-free detection technologies for the drug discovery market, Corning said today.

Under the agreement, the companies will combine Corning's optical label-free detection technology with PerkinElmer's multi-label detection systems to offer next-generation drug discovery platforms.
The agreement will combine the Corning Epic system with PerkinElmer's technologies to "provide drug discovery and life science researchers with deeper insights into biomolecular and cellular interactions," PerkinElmer Bio-discovery President Richard Eglen said in a statement.

Financial and other terms of the pact were not disclosed.
