BioTek Instruments, Inc. Features Combination Microplate Washer Dispenser at Neuroscience 2008

BioTek Instruments, Inc., will attend the 38th annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience, November 15-19, 2008 in Washington, DC with a unique washer/dispenser as well as other advanced microplate-based technologies at BioTek’s booth #806.

BioTek’s new
EL406™ Microplate Washer Dispenser defines a new category of Combination Microplate Washer Dispensers, as it is the only instrument on the market to offer fast, full microplate washing along with both peristaltic and microprocessor-controlled syringe drive reagent dispenser technologies to optimize liquid handling processes in microplate format, including complex wash routines.

BioTek’s patent-pending
Synergy™ 4 Multi-Detection Microplate Reader with Hybrid Technology™ will also be featured; combining filter-based and quadruple monochromator-based fluorescence detection technology in one instrument. MicroFlo™ Select will be presented as an all-in-one dispensing solution with a positive displacement peristaltic pump as well as a range of cassette sizes and settings for unlimited flexibility in microplate and microtube style, dispense parameters, and dispense volumes. BioTek’s Precision™ XS Microplate Sample Processor with four liquid transfer tools will also be presented during the exhibition.

Additionally, BioTek will present its new
BioStack™ Microplate Stacker with Rotational Wrist, a compact microplate stacker compatible with BioTek’s microplate washers, dispensers, pipetting systems and detection systems. BioStack’s new rotational wrist allows users to integrate both landscape and portrait orientation microplate carriers, while the instrument remains in its optimal, ergonomic-friendly position.
