Hits:2441   Date: 9/14/2007

BioTek Instruments, Inc., will include their latest microplate instrumentation technology at their booth in Hall 9, Booth No. D76 during BIOTECHNICA 2007, the 15th International Trade Fair for Biotechnology, October 9-11, 2007 at the Deutsche Messe in Hannover, Germany.

The company will mark the international debut of the patent-pending Synergy™ 4 Multi-Detection Microplate Reader with Hybrid Technology™, the only true multi-mode reader on the market to join filter-based and quadruple monochromator-based fluorescence detection technology in one instrument for endless flexibility in current and future microplate-based assays. Fluorescence Intensity, Fluorescence Polarization, Time-Resolved Fluorescence, Luminescence and UV-Visible Absorbance measurement techniques are also included. The PowerWave™ Microplate Spectrophotometer will also be demonstrated at their booth.

BioTek has also launched a new liquid dispensing technology: the MicroFlo™ Select, an all-in-one dispensing solution with unlimited choice in microplate and microtube style, dispense parameters, cassette settings, all in one compact benchtop unit. BioTek’s Precision™ XS Microplate Sample Processor will also be presented during the exhibition.

The popular ELx405™ washers, known throughout scientific markets for their washing efficiency and flexibility, will be featured, along with the recently released ELx50 FMW, designed specifically for dispensing and washing filter bottom microplate applications.

Also at the trade fair will be the Bio-Stack™ automation modules that can be interfaced to various microplate technologies from BioTek Instruments for increased speed, flexibility and ease of operation. Components are modular and easily reconfigured when experimental protocols change.
