Oxford Global Conferences were proud to present the 4th Annual NGS and 2nd Annual Single Cell Genomics Asia Congress this October in Singapore with over 175 senior level experts in the field of genomics, single cell genomics and sequencing technologies attending over the 2 days.
Held at the MAX Atria at Singapore Expo, the congress covered a variety of interesting topics. On Day 1 the presentations covered the latest developments in NGS and microarray technology, sample preparation methods and agrigenomics. On day 2 expert speakers discussed clinical applications for NGS technologies and the role of genomics in cancer research, personalised medicine and diagnostics.
Presentations included:
Raffaele Calogero, Professor, Bioinformatics and Genomics, University of Torino, Italy: Circulating Non-Coding RNAs (ncRNAs) as Biomarkers in Leukemia
Stephen Turner, Founder and CTO, Pacific Biosciences: Nearing Universal Applicability: Pacific Biosciences SMRT Sequencing
Lyn Griffiths, Executive Director, Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation, Queensland University of Technology, Australia: Use of NGS Technology to Identify Novel Mutations Associated with Familial Hemiplegic Migraine and Related Neurogenetic Disorders
Steve Kain, Ph.D., Director of Product Management, NuGEN Technologies, Inc., USA: RNA-Seq Sample Preparation Solutions for Challenging Samples
Gong Zhang, Professor, Jinan University, China: Two-Dimensional Fine Tuning of Translational Control on Translation Initiation and Elongation Speed
The congress was an ideal platform for delegates to explore and discover new areas of the Asian NGS & Single Cell Genomics industries. The 4th Annual NGS & 2nd Annual Single Cell Genomics Asia Congress also gave attendees the opportunity to network with a variety of influential contributors, leaders and decision makers within the industries. The congress offered attendees flexibility with parallel streams specialising in a variety of focal topics. In addition to this the congress hosted an evening networking drinks session, which gave attendees the chance to unwind and broaden their connections further. The Managing Director from Vela Research Singapore Pte Ltd mentioned “The congress had an intimate and friendly atmosphere which made networking very easy.
