Oxford Global Conferences were proud to present the 9th Annual Biomarkers Congress this February in Manchester, with over 250 senior delegates attending from leading pharmaceutical and academic institutions.
Held at Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium, the 9 th Annual Biomarkers Congress covered the latest advances in biomarker discovery and verification, including mass cytometry, selected reaction monitoring and chemical genetics. Our expert speakers also discussed efforts to increase assay repeatability and specificity, informatics approaches to biomarker discovery and better sample management. In the parallel Companion Diagnostics stream, presentations addressed emerging technologies, optimisation of existing platforms and strategies to improve stra tegic partnerships.
The 9 th Annual Biomarkers Congress presented a wide perspective on biomarkers, with plenty of topics covered, and also provided extensive possibilities for networking with service providers and delegates alike. The parallel streams allowed attendees to tailor the agenda to suit their topics of interest, and the additional, optional stadium tour proved a great success, with one particular delegate from ABLYNX remarking, “I particularly liked the extensive possibilities for networking with service providers and the organisation in general – as well as the Manchester United stadium tour!”
The Chief Innovation Officer from Biokit Research & Development S.L.U. commented,
“The talks were of a high quality, and the workbook is very useful and well organised. The networking opportunities were fantastic, and the congress allowed us to glimpse upon the different technologies available, and the variety of trends in this area,”
With the CEO from PROOF Centre of Excellence stating,
“There were good quality talks, good networking sessions, a great location and good service. The organisation was also excellent, as were the Oxford Global staff.”
We also had a large number of attendees from Solution Providers, who we were able to pre-arrange 1-2-1 meetings for, with delegates of their choice.
The Market Sales Development Specialist from Sigma-Aldrich found this particularly useful, advising,
“We found the Congress to be extremely well organised; especially the 1-2-1 meetings which were very successful for us.”
Our high-level delegates also proved to be extremely beneficial, with the Marketing Manager from Miltenyi Biotech observing,
“There were lots of companies and pharma delegates, meaning it was a great opportunity to evaluate the market and identify future applications.”
Following the event, we analyse statistics and feedback we receive from attendees, and we are proud to announce that we achieved an ‘Above Average’ rating in all categories including:
•the venue,
•the overall organisation of the congress,
•the services of the Oxford Global staff,
•and the organisation of the 1-2-1 meetings
This is great news for everyone involved in the production of the 9 th Annual Biomarkers Congress. After the success of this year’s event, Oxford Global are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our 10 th Annual Biomarkers Congress in February 2015.
