Application-orientated information for gBlocks™ Gene Fragments
CORALVILLE, IA – 3 January 2013 – Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), the world leader in oligonucleotide synthesis, will host a free workshop at Plant and Animal Genome (PAG), San Diego, in January. The workshop will run on January 14 at 18:10 and will explore the use of
IDT’s new gBlocks™ Gene Fragments, a novel and cost-effective approach for the assembly and cloning of desired genes. The workshop will also cover cloning protocols, applications and troubleshooting recommendations, providing relevant help, information and expertise across the application spectrum to offer maximum worth for attendees.

The workshop will be hosted by Dr Michel Cannieux |
Designed for all bench scientists, the workshop will demonstrate how best to utilize gBlocks in order to achieve novel DNA sequence constructs with ease and speed, via the Gibson Assembly Method. With verified, high sequence fidelity, gBlocks Gene Fragments can be designed up to 500 base pairs, and can be easily assembled to reliably generate even larger gene constructs to suit an extensive range of biological applications.
The workshop will be run by Dr Michel Cannieux, Director of Product Management at IDT, and will offer a true insight and practical approach to the advantages of gBlocks Gene Fragments for the construction and modification of novel genes. To find out more about the workshop, please visit the
PAG workshop page.
