Ho Chi Minh City / Munich, February 22, 2011. Thanks to an increase in the number of exhibitors of more than 25 percent, analytica Vietnam 2011 has already surpassed the growth that was predicted by its organizers. The growing presence of international and Vietnamese manufacturers of laboratory and analysis equipment and biotechnology companies underscores the growing significance of these industries in the Asian region. In addition, the dialog between science and industry will also be promoted by the analytica Vietnam Conference. And the extensive program of related events including workshops and forums will give participants application tips based on actual practice.
"We are very pleased that so many companies are interested in analytica Vietnam and feel that it confirms our decision to establish a Vietnamese spin-off of analytica," explains Susanne Grödl, Exhibition Director for analytica in Munich . "The Vietnamese market for analysis and laboratory equipment has grown considerably during the last few years. That growth is now being reflected by a sizeable increase in the number of exhibitors." Germany will be very strongly represented, with 35 companies at this year’s fair. The companies participating in the German Pavilion include industry leaders such as Binder, Brand, Eppendorf, Hellma, Julabo Labortechnik, KNF Neuberger, Netzsch and Waldner Laboreinrichtungen. The latest products and innovations also await visitors at joint exhibits representing China , France and Great Britain . An overview of the exhibition highlights can be called up online before the fair even begins. A list of the companies that have registered to date is available here .
Dialog platform for science and industry
One of the factors of success in the fair’s concept is the extensive program of related events. Above all, they include the analytica Conference, which features an informative series of lectures and renowned speakers. Among other things, this year’s two-day conference will include presentations on chromatography and mass spectroscopy, the life sciences and biotechnology. For example, Prof. Boguslaw Buszewski from the Thorn University ( Poland ) will make a presentation titled "New packing of supramolecular interaction for monitoring and determination of compounds with biological activity," And Prof. Pham Hung Viet from Hanoi University will give a lecture on environmental analysis titled "Human exposure to PBDEs and dioxin related compounds in Vietnamese e-waste recycling sites". The complete conference program will be available online as of mid-March 2011.
Workshop on quality standards
A workshop titled "Validation of analytical methods for FDA and EU compliance" takes Vietnam ’s growing volume of foreign trade with European and other countries into account. It will give managers from (bio)pharmaceutical and food laboratories an opportunity to get to know the latest requirements and strategies that pertain to the FDA/EU, ICH, USP and ISO 17025. It will also give them valuable tips for putting the know-how that they gain to use in actual practice.
