On the initiative of the German Industry Association for Optical, Medical and Mechatronical Technologies , with the support of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) a German pavilion will again be organized in 2010.

The intention of this pavilion is to strengthen the position of small and medium sized German companies of this sector in China. At last analytica China some 33 German companies of analysis, laboratory-technology and biotechnology sector have registered to present their products and solutions to the Chinese public and to make new contacts and intensify existing ones.

China - the future growth market

China is one of the most rapidly growing future markets in the world. Despite the current slump in exports and on the domestic market, the Chinese economy is expected to grow in the medium term, which is one more reason to exhibit at the leading trade fair analytica China .

Chemicals Industry

• After the USA and Japan, China is the third-largest producer of chemical goods.
• Proceeds in the chemicals industry increased by 28.6% to 2.556 billion CNY from 2007 to 2008 (January - October).
• 2010: There is increased demand for chemical goods in the construction industry and in the sectors for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and detergents/cleaning agents.

Pharmaceutical Industry

• The average growth rate of sales revenues in China`s pharmaceuticals industry in the past ten years exceeded 20%, which is far higher than the GDP growth rate for the same period.
• Forecast: By the year 2020, China is expected to advance to second place after the USA and to have a market volume of 220 billion USD.

Biotechnology

The Chinese biotechnology market grew by 24.9% in 2007 to a total value of 5,565 billion USD.

Chinese medical-device industry

China is currently the third largest medical device market in the world, after the US and Japan.

analytica China continues its success story

A total of 342 exhibiting companies participated in this year’s analytica, which is a 26.7% increase compared to the number of exhibitors in 2006. The number of visitors who attended the fair increased by 53.6% to an impressive total of 13,146 visitors in three days, among which 9,091 registered for analytica China and the rest 4,055 for IFAT China which is the collocation trade fair for environmental protection.

An independent survey conducted during the fair confirmed the outstanding success of leading platform for analysis, laboratory technology, diagnostics and biotechnology in China and Asia. 97% of the visitors surveyed said that they were planning to attend analytica China again. The fair also received top marks from the exhibitors, 89% of whom indicated that they were planning to participate again in 2010. An impressive 92% of all exhibiting companies stated that they would recommend the fair to others.
