The 11th IAPTC&B Congress will be held in August in Beijing

The 11th IAPTC&B Congress-Biotechnology and Sustainable Agriculture 2006 is to be held on August 13-18, 2006 in Beijing, China.

 

The scientific program of the 11th IAPTC&B Congress reflects the recommendation and suggestions solicited from the members of various committees of the Congress and a number of other prominent colleagues. Every attempt has been made to cover all aspects of plant biotechnology. The plenary lectures will provide a broad and insightful review of important thematic subjects. These will be complemented by number of symposia with more focused discussion on specific topics. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit proposals for additional symposia/ workshops to the IAPTC&B President (xuzh@pku.edu.cn). Additional subjects, such as specific crops, techniques, etc., will be covered in the poster sessions.

All scientific sessions will be held at the Beijing International Convention Centre, a purpose-built convention centre under one roof, with a maximum of 1-2 minutes walk between sessions and the exhibition/poster area. The scientific program will consist of 4 plenary sessions and 4 symposium sessions comprising 6 to 7 concurrent sessions depending on the schedule/day of the program.
