Smithers E&L China is heading to Shanghai from 9-10 Dec 2020, bringing you a comprehensive, insightful and unrivalled programme covering the regulatory landscape, advances in science and testing methods, the latest technological developments, as well as featuring case studies from leading experts in E&L realm.
 
Since its launch in 2018, E&L has continued to grow and we expect a record year in 2020. The conference returns this year promising another unbeatable learning and networking experience for professionals such as yourself working within the E&L supply chain. Described as "premier gathering of expertise in E&L field", Smithers' E&L China 2020 conference will provide a 360-degree perspective of the E&L supply chain, with key insights from toxicologists, scientists, regulatory affairs managers, R&D managers and directors, E&L specialists, technical engineers and more.
 
Day one of the event will kick off with a session on Global regulatory landscape and updates on E&L, featuring keynote addresses from Andrew Teasdale, Senior Principal Scientist – Impurity Management and External Advocacy of AstraZeneca, and Queenie Gai, Global E&L Senior Consultant of Merck. The programme will then move on to look at Insights and perspectives from pharma and biotech companies, with a presentation from Xiaoxia Ye, Senior Analytical Researcher of Huadong Medicine, followed by a panel session surrounding challenges and the future trend of E&L studies and global requirements. Speakers from SCHOTT, Shanghai WEIPU and Intertek will discuss E&L in pharmaceutical packaging and drug delivery systems. Day one will be rounded off with a session on E&L in single use systems with speakers from Novo Nordisk, Saint-Gobain Life Sciences, Henlius, as well as Pall Corporation.
 
Another keynote speech will start off the proceedings on day two with Smithers opening the Challenges in E&L profiling: Identification session. Next session Safety assessments and toxicology will also feature speakers from U.S. FDA and Sartorius. The programme will then move on to look at E&L in medical devices, followed by several presentations from Shandong Quality Inspection Center for Medical Devices, Medtronic, WuXi AppTec, Baxter and Becton Dickinson. Speakers from Milestone and Shanghai Food and Drug Packaging Material Control Center will discuss From theory to practice: Experimental designs for E&L studies and case studies. The conference will then close with the final session looking at Focus on materials and biomaterials, featuring the speaker from West Pharmaceutical Packaging.
