Overview:
We welcome you to GTCbio's Functional Genomics & Predictive Medicine Conference, which is part of The Pan-Omics Summit and takes place on May 21 - 22, 2015 in Boston, MA.
Understanding genetic variation in human diseases is vital to providing the most up-to-date procedures in a clinical setting. Recent developments in gene targeting technology provides crucial information in target validation for therapeutic applications in the areas of inflammation, oncology, immunology, and infectious diseases. However, the more tedious task at hand is incorporating data from assays and technologies and integrating basic principles of genomics, systems biology, engineering, etc.
This meeting focuses on understanding the specific cellular events that occur on the levels of transcription, translation, and protein-protein interactions. Speakers will present on mutations that are controlled at the level of DNA and how they are predictors for the change in function and structure in downstream products. We will take a closer look at genomic variation in relation to predicting a patient's response to drugs and applications for clinical advantages.
Session topics include:
I. Molecular Diagnostics and Therapeutic Application for Rare and Common Disorders
II. Approaches for Analyses and Integration of Complex Data
III. Understanding Genomic Variation at the Cellular Level
IV. Understanding Genomic Variation in Three Dimensions: Impact on Protein-Protein and Protein-Drug Interactions
Dedicated networking sessions will allow opportunities for intimate discussions and building relationships. We hope to see you in Boston for a rich exchange of ideas and updates!
