About the BIO Convention in China
BIO China presents a unique opportunity for western and Chinese life sciences companies to come together for networking and deal making. The conference will bring together biotech and pharmaceutical companies interested in policy issues and business development.
BIO China is significant because China has made growing the biotech industry one of its top national priorities. China’s biotech sector is growing at a steady pace, with double digit growth in sales revenues and profits. With more than one-fifth of the world’s population, China is an important market for biotech products and plays a key role in biotech product development and manufacturing.
BIO China is an example of how BIO works as a facilitator for the industry, bringing together business leaders, government officials, and others. Our industry hopes to strengthen its relationships with members of the Chinese biotech community and government in order to help strengthen and support the growth of the biotechnology industry in China.
About BIO’s Investor and Partnership Meetings
BIO’s investor and partnership meetings connect industry leaders to share strategies to spur development and innovation in biotechnology. BIO holds numerous meetings around the world, designed to offer biotechnology companies opportunities to explore partnerships that will foster continued innovation and growth, both for the company and the industry.
At these events, BIO uses its industry leading, unique BIO One-On-One Partnering System™ to power thousands of business-to-business meetings. At the 2011 BIO international Convention, over 21,000 such meetings were created and scheduled between 5,000 people representing 2,400 companies.
As the biotech industry continues to innovate and grow, developing new therapeutics that will better the world, BIO’s investor and partnering meetings play a key role in generating the partnerships that will help bring new therapies to market.
