Under the joint sponsorship of CAS, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chinese Ministry of Education, the 13th International Biotechnology Symposium and Exhibition (or IBS-2008) will convene from 12 to 17 October, 2008, in Dalian, a costal city in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
The event will be co-organized by the CAS Dalian Institute of Physical Chemistry (DIPC), the Dalian University of Technology, East China University of Science and Technology and Dalian Government.
Its International Advisory Committee is to be chaired by Prof. CHEN Zhu, CAS vice president, and its Local Organizing Committee and International Scientific Committee will be headed by Prof. YANG Shengli, a chemist from DIPC.
