Transportation Guide
Airways in Shenyang
Shenyang Taoxian International Airport is the largest in northeast China with airlines reaching 58 domestic cities and foreign cities in Korea, Japan, Russia, Thailand, America, France and Australia. It is located about 20 km south of the city center.
Railways in Shenyang
As one of the largest transition stations, Shenyang has two railway stations altogether. One is located on the division line of Heping District and Tiexi New District which is called Shenyang Train Station (South Shenyang Train Station). The other stands on the boundary line of Shenhe District and Huanggutun District. It is named North Shenyang Railway Station. Generally speaking trains that start from South Shenyang Train Station reach cities within or near Liaoning Province; while trains that start from North Shenyang Railway Station can arrive at most cities in China, like Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, and so on. No.203, 216, 502, 602, etc. city buses can bridge the two stations for your convenience. Usually you can buy train tickets seven days in advance in the two stations.
Highways in Shenyang
Shenyang is located in the center of Liaoning Highway network, so there are plenty of buses departing and arriving, from Shenyang to Beijing, Dalian, Harbin, Fushan and Benxi. The provincial highways and the national freeways cross here to form the convenient transportation system.
Getting Around
By City-bus
There are more than 3,000 city buses running on over 140 lines in Shenyang. Buses can reach almost every place in Shenhe District, Huanggu District, Tiexi District, Heping District and Dadong District. The ticket fare is CNY1 for big city buses without conductors; the ticket fare for mini-buses with conductors depends on the number of stops you have to take.
By Subway
The subway Line 1 of Shenyang has been put into use since September 27th, 2010, by which passengers could shuttle from the west Shenyang City to the east part quickly. The subway Line 2 of Shenyang was open on the 9 January 2012. This line is currently 21.86 km long with 19 stations. It is a rapid transit line running from north to south Shenyang.
By Taxi
Shenyang is favored with a very good public transportation system. According to the statistics, a total of 170,000 taxies are in operation. As for the brand of taxies here in Shenyang, there are Jetta, Santana, Zhonghua (belongs to the high-rank), and the like. Except those air-conditioned taxies (CNY9 for the first three kilometers (about 1.9 miles)), the usual price for a taxi is CNY8 for the first three kilometers. An additional charge of CNY1 for every 550 meters (about 600 yards) is charged for both air conditioned and non-air conditioned taxies. An additional CNY1 will be charged for fuel surcharge.

The International Neural Regeneration Symposium, is an international symposium organized by Neural Regeneration Research (NRR, Press), aims to promote scientific exchange and collaboration on neural regeneration research internationally.
NRR was founded in 2006. NRR has been indexed in SCI-E since 2008, and the latest impact factor is 0.216.
NRR strives to timely publish cutting-edge articles regarding brain injury and neural regeneration, spinal cord injury and neural regeneration, peripheral nerve injury and neural regeneration, Chinese medicine and neural regeneration.
Prof. Kwok-Fai So and Xiao-Ming Xu, Editors-in-Chief of NRR, have organized the international editorial board of NRR made up of outstanding academic scholars from all over the world. NRR attaches great importance to rigorous peer review and rapid publication.
NRR is a special journal with its mission focused exclusively on reporting exciting scientific advancement in the field of neural regeneration. The journal commits to rapid publication and publishes new papers every 10 days. The average peer-review time for a manuscript is about 1 month. Once a manuscript is accepted, the average publication time is about 3 months from its acceptance. For outstanding articles, a rapid publication can be arranged which will take less than a month.
To promote scientific exchange and collaboration on neural regeneration research internationally, NRR organized the 2nd International Neural Regeneration Symposium, which was held in Shenyang, China between September 21 and 25, 2012. The symposium was a great success. We had over 1 000 participants from 115 research institutions of 16 countries. Dr. Bruce Alberts, the Editor-in-Chief of Science, delivered a remarkable speech entitled “Biology past and biology future: where have we been and where are we going?” We had over 20 world-distinguished scientists who presented their leading research at this symposium.
The 3rd International Neural Regeneration Symposium, in conjunction with the 5th International Spinal Cord Injury Treatments and Trials Symposium, will be held at Liaoning Mansion in Shenyang, China between October 10 and 14, 2013. We hope that you will find the symposium to be attractive and of high scientific value. Please mark this special event on your calendars. We look forward to your contributions and participation and to meeting you in Shenyang in the golden autumn season of the year.
